From the Bride… We initially met over anatomy cadavers our first year of medical school… Perhaps not the most romantic of settings. As we made our way through the demands of academics, we remained friends until later on in our four years.
One day, he asked me about an upcoming radiology rotation and we struck up conversation and then this led to a year long text thread, art walks, food truck Fridays, scenic hikes, museum visits, symphony concerts and winery outings.
When it came time to decide on our medical residency of choice, we knew we both wanted to be in Southern California and somehow, we were lucky enough to match in LA, at neighboring hospitals. As we continued to meet challenges as new physicians in training, we were able to support and grow with each other.
One day, he wanted us to return to a part of Laguna beach to recreate one of our first dates. He proposed at night by the ocean at a spot that was special to us.
