Private Vows Before the Real Wedding At Marbella Country Club

Finding ways to personalize your wedding is one of the top five things we hear when couples share their thoughts on planning their big day. But… what IF that applied strictly to you (as a couple). This couple did something we’ve never seen before and it was the groom’s idea! He wanted a moment, before all their guests arrived, not only for a first look, but also to exchange their own private vows, alone. Just the two of them (plus their photographer, of course). Sara Weir was more than happy to oblige! As you’ll see in the full gallery, the emotional (and super entertaining) shots are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

At our first meeting the Groom expressed his desire to share their vows privately. He wanted to know what she’d say! So each prepared very special vows that they repeated to each other in Korean as we photographed their spontaneous reactions.

It was a beautiful moment I’ve only seen repeated one other time and something I would love for other couples, who feel similarly, to consider.

The florals from Finding Flora created the perfect color palette. This wedding at Marbella Country Club felt like something straight out of a European wedding shoot, but took place in Sunny Southern California!

Providence and Planning did a beautiful job creating memorable details for this sweet couple’s wonderful wedding day! All the lovely paper products were artistically penned by Ettie Kim Studio and included the place cards, welcome signage plus handmade paper for the vow books ~ and of course the calligraphy on all!
