When the Groom sets his sights on the perfect wedding venue before he even proposes, you just know that spot has got to be drop dead gorgeous. And Villa Balbianello does not disappoint. This Italian celebration planned by Happy Moments Collector, with florals by Figli dei Fiori and photographed by Thecablookphotolab has way too many gorgeous images to count. See for yourself right here.
Italy has always been special to us; a place to share new experiences, celebrate happy moments, and expand our waistlines! For all of these reasons, we were never in doubt that this was the perfect place to gather our closest family and friends and share our first days as husband and wife (in fact Alex had actually chosen the wedding venue before proposing). In the months before our wedding, we fell even more in love with this beautiful country and all of the wonderful people who helped to bring our vision to life. Our wedding week was planned and curated as we went along, influenced by the beautiful ideas coming from the vendors of Lake Como and a hybrid of Italian, English, and Danish traditions gathered from members of the bridal party. We knew the scenery would speak for itself, so we focused on highlighting it with a relaxed and intimate atmosphere planned entirely outdoors. Anastasia and the Happy Moments Collector team helped us to bring those details together perfectly – paring back the traditional concept of wedding décor, and helping us instead to get a natural and rustic vibe through a combination of beautiful foliage, candles and a spotlight on incredible Italian food!
From Anastasia (wedding planner of Happy Moments Collector)…We will always remember that beautiful and warm wedding at the end of May that was filled with happiness, sun, love and smiles. Civil ceremony was planned to be at one of the most spectacular villas of lake Como – villa Balbianello. We even didn’t plan any decor because it is beautiful as it is with it’s loggia, gardens and breathtaking views. Guests arrived to the villa by boat, Alex and Toria arrived on different wooden boats together with their parties. After the ceremony has finished, everyone moved to the other villa to start enjoying rich Italian aperitif. Dinner area was prepared with wooden rustic tables together with a greenery runner and lots of candles. I really liked the idea of the couple to put photos instead of the seating cards. It looked so unique! We have also made mix of one style but different color underplates that was just perfect for the atmosphere. Toria and Alex and their family and friends made so touchy speeches that all of the team was crying. Italy is surely about weddings, but only sincere couples and their friends around can make it truly unforgettable.
