Blending Vibrant Color and Modern Vibes at One Eleven East

With fall around the corner, we wanted to play with bright, juicy colors, accented with golden fall hues and bring them to life with clean lines, abstract shapes and a contemporary vibe. With the idea of creating a mobile as a ceremony piece planted in our mind from the beginning, we felt that One Eleven East's Skylight Room would be the ideal setting with it's white, yet textured walls, original wood floors and a huge beautiful skylight at the center of the room to frame the art piece.
Kindle and Gather began the planning process, reaching out to some untraditional wedding vendors, such as Mckinley Mizar for her hand made minimalist earrings and Maggie Louise Confections for their hand painted chocolates. Working with Maggie Louise Confections was especially a fun addition! They asked for mood boards, color palettes, and wanted details about our inspiration before presenting several design options to us.
It was wonderful watching the details come together the day of the photoshoot- seeing the cut citrus play perfectly with Lauren Sterrett's invitation suite and menus, the floral we created pair magically with La Tavola's Tamarind velvet linen and the 10th Collection place setting rentals and chairs punctuate the table design seamlessly.
The soft natural lighting that photographer, Jenna McElroy, utilized accentuated the amazing natural glow that hair and makeup artist, Makenzi Laine, so carefully created. Jenna's stunning film photography worked wonderfully in softening the bold lines and colors and bringing a beautiful balance in each photo.
