Elope to Provence! There’s So Much More Than Lavender Fields

Dreaming of a wedding among the lavender fields of Provence? Well… wait one sec. We have some other ideas for you today!  There is SO much more to Provence than lavender fields ~ equally lovely in all it’s raw natural beauty. Searching for lavender fields should now just be one of the checkmarks on your destination wedding planning checklist! Tamara Gruner with WEP in Provence (plus so many other amazing wedding pro’s) explored the region in their last workshop (April ’18 Workshop). We’re sharing some of the images from those days that are going to blow you away! The concept for this three-day conference centered around contrasting the Past and the Future ~ and oh what an enchanting contradiction in style it was….

Provence – it’s the dream of everyone! But did you know that Provence has more to offer than lavender fields, vineyards and olive trees? There are so many places only the locals know about! Do you know that there are still Roman ruins in Provence? And do you know how beautiful they are when nature around them blooms? Come with us and let us take you away to a journey of the past …

The Past…

Inspired by the beauty of Provence and it’s historical landmarks we wanted to create an elopement in the middle of the Roman ruins of Glanum. What could be more romantic than eloping in the middle of Provence at such an epic landmark?

Our floral designer, Celine from Un Jardin En Ville, created a flower dream around a cherry blossom tree to set the ceremony mood for our eloping couple. Musat Bridal, who is known for her romantic dresses, designed a stunning tulle dress with a lace top to it.

Our bride wore curls, which flew in the wind. Bridal beauty services for the workshop were provided by Agnes Caneri (Hair) and Ylva Langenskiold (Makeup). The handsome groom was wearing a classic black tuxedo from Rayne. Michaela Roemer added the finishing touch to our couple with her breathtaking jewelry. And what would a wedding be without the pretty shoes from Bella Belle?

In addition, Creme de Papier designed beautiful paper goods for the couple with a Glanum sketch to cherish for their lives!

The Future…

After their elopement our couple went straight to their honeymoon. And where would they go for their honeymoon? They went to the modern, breathtaking Domaine de Manville, a 5-star hotel with golf course in the heart of Provence.

Our bride was wearing a modern romantic lace dress from the up and coming new French designer ‘Manon Gontero‘. Her dresses are delicate and modern just like our couple is!

Our two lovebirds roamed the streets of Provence,  enjoying the rustic romance as newlyweds before heading back for the night.

Get inspired by the beauty of Provence! Cheers to a beautiful future …
