Joyful Wedding at Cannon Green in Charleston

From Kelly Golia Events… If one phrase could sum up Abby and Garrett’s charming Charleston wedding, it would be “sentimental joy” — which is especially fitting because the bride’s middle name happens to be Joy! Emotions were soft and sweet as memories of Abby’s late mom were present throughout the day, and laughter could be heard in every corner of Cannon Green. Abby happens to be legally blind and cannot see color, so every detail incorporated not only soft, southern-inspired hues, but texture, pattern, and even scent so that every tiny moment could be enjoyed by all. ~ photography from Rachel Craig Photography

The entire day appealed to guests’ every sense – the gorgeous southern backdrop of the city of Charleston and every thoughtful detail were enchanting sights. The scent of citrus incorporated into the floral arrangements enticed guests throughout the evening, and the impeccably prepared cuisine of Cannon Green satisfied every palette.

From the custom water color pattern incorporated into the invitation suite and menus, to charming details like brass pineapples on the seating chart and detailed ceramic table numbers, every element of the day was reminiscent of all things that make Charleston so, well… Charleston. And who could forget the adorable peach-colored vintage bus that escorted guests to and from the venue?

Most of all, Abby and Garrett’s love and respect for one another were felt so strongly in every detail and moment of the entire day, and their wedding was one that will not soon be forgotten by anyone who was there to celebrate with them.
