Lisa and Jonathan met one fateful night while they were enjoying drinks at Lusk 25 in the heart of San Francisco. From that moment on, they knew they belonged together. They wanted to treat their friends and family to an elegant, black tie evening celebrating their marriage without the typical events and detailing that would make a wedding feel typical…. ~ Charmed Events Group
It was important to them that the day was modern and minimal in design but also in programming as well. Because of their love for modern minimal design, we created their aesthetic by using foliage, greenery and acrylics paired with cool greys and taupe tones to create their desired atmosphere.
For their ceremony, Tango and Foxtrot helped us create a modern foliage display for them to say their vows against. I personally loved this modern and whimsical creation because it was so different from what is usually asked for in a ceremony design. They didn’t have a wedding party to keep things simple and the effect was a beautiful focus on just the two of them.
For the reception, we wanted the space to feel fresh and different and put together lots of tall foliage trees paired with fresh white blooms and greens to create a modern take on City Hall. I loved the juxtaposition that was created in that traditional space with our modern design. Detail notes of the day were the acrylic signs that guests found their seats to as well as vellum menus with guest names adhered to them by a modern black clip.
Guests enjoyed the couple’s favorite desserts from San Francisco and post reception, retreated upstairs to a bar space that we created to emulate Lusk 25, which is the bar where they fell in love.
