Oceanfront Elegance at the Olowalu Plantation House
From Platinum Weddings and Events... With the groom's family ties rooted deep in the island of Hawaii, choosing Maui as their destination wedding location was an easy choice for this gorgeous couple. ~photography by Chris J Evans
The couple wanted a more traditional bamboo canopy for the ceremony. So we created an asymmetrical draping to set their alter apart from weddings done in the past.
Bridesmaids wore neutral colored Joanna August dresses to accent the bride's hand beaded, custom-made gown.
The couple's design vision was one of classic romance meets Maui: lots of greenery and white flowers; long wooden farm tables with flowing neutral table runners and gold accents.
Platinum Weddings and Events came in and added touches of bronze and emerald to the tablescape, and natural wood calligraphy to tie in the natural-Hawaii feel of the Big Day.
