As a wedding blogger, you probably wouldn’t guess that I came thisss close to an elopement. I think there’s something kind of special about focusing on your big wedding priorities and putting all of your effort on those few things. For me, it was dress, flowers and scenery/venue, which happen to be the three things that I love most about this shoot from Stella Yang, Manna Sun Events, Tristan Needham Design, Designs by Hemingway and By Design Films. It proves that a few details done right and gorgeous photography are equally as pretty as a full shindig dressed to the nines.

From Tristan Needham Design… The main goal of this editorial was to not only highlight the natural beauty of the landscape, but to elevate it with a fresh and refined aesthetic. Bougainvillea grows in abundance around the island and was the perfect shade of pink to contrast against the dark green landscape, and light blue skies. For the photos on the beach, we kept the frames open and airy to highlight the movement of our bride’s silk gown. For the photos overlooking the ocean, we designed a table with softer toned linens and plates to ensure the florals were highlighted, but didn’t take away from the movement we were capturing throughout the rest of the shoot. The juxtaposition between the modern flatware and traditional tableware, was exactly the refined yet fresh approach we were looking for.
