Sarah + Matt met about three years ago at Detroit’s St. Andrews Hall during a show Matt was playing in. Sarah was on a date with another guy and when Matt set eyes on her, he did everything he could to get her attention. Their relationship was long distance for much of their time dating and August 2016 Matt proposed in a hot air balloon ride. Their winter wedding was on another level!
From Erin Schmidt Photography… Her vision was described as wild romance, candlelit and tons of flowers and greens and it was exactly that and so much more. Sarah had thought of every single detail down to having hankies in every chair for the ceremony for guests to cry in!
Her dress was honestly the most stunning gown I’ve ever seen – horse hair skirt with a sheer long sleeved low back top by Hayley Paige. The girls started the day poppin’ bottles of champagne in their hotel room and ended the night under the stars of Planterra’s greenhouse. It was just perfection.
The King Proteas on every table wer breathtaking, hand-lettered place cards in every seat, and a seating chart with roman numerals made by the groom’s brother. Their ceremony began just after sunset with personal vows that had the room weeping. Followed by a swanky cocktail hour with their yummy signature cocktail. Lots of laughs, hugs and tons of people “cutting a rug” as the bride says. Just so many intimate details and so much love and design in their day.
