This Greystone Mansion affair captured by Sally Pinera speaks to the undeniable beauty of California. With the feel of Provence and a Beverly Hills zip code, planner CCL Weddings crafted a day filled with color, culture and heart. It’s a love born and bread in Los Angeles and you can see it all unfold right here.
From the Bride and Groom… Alvin and I met at church a handful of years before we actually started dating. We never really said more than two words to each other until that fated day that we coincidentally sat next to each other at an Angel’s baseball game. We talked. And talked and talked. Shared some laughs. And even glanced over at the game a couple times. Not too long after, we went on our first date. Which was followed by many other dates. From Disneyland to Sequoia to the Mojave Dessert, we shared many memories together.
[Fast-forward two and a half years.] Alvin took me to one of our first date spots — Griffith Observatory. LA city lights in the background and rose petals all around. Alvin read through a scrapbook of memories that he made (that he made. HE made!), got down on one knee and popped the question of a lifetime. And of course I said yes!
When it came to planning for our wedding, our wedding planner (Catherine from CCL; the best planner ever!) definitely helped bring everything to life. I did a trip through Provence, France a few years back and fell in love. I would’ve loved to get married in one of their vineyards or outside of a French chateau, but what was more important was having all of our family and friends there to celebrate with us. Given that we are both from California, we knew there was no better place to get married. And what made it more perfect is that we found a venue in Beverly Hills that took us right back to Provence. Sunny Southern California plus European-esque venue? I’d say that’s a double win.
Our wedding day was filled with so many wonderful moments that we really can’t pick a favorite. Here is a breakdown of the highlights: Getting ready with my mom and my girls. Doing two first looks — one with my husband-to-be and another with my dad. Having the most important people in our lives watch us say our vows before God. Surprising our guests by doing a choreographed routine from Alvin’s favorite movie, White Chicks. Eating to our heart’s content thanks to Hungry Bear Catering. Watching our guests scramble to find all of the Hidden Mickey’s throughout our wedding. And simply being in the presence of our beloved family and friends, who have been cheering us on since day one. We loved every moment, and we are so happy that we get to share a bit of this day through our wedding photos and videos. We’d do it all over again in a heartbeat!
