How would you feel if you showed up to your wedding weekend having never before visited the venue? Well for this daring couple, the risk certainly paid off! From the bride... As we set out to begin planning our wedding, we both knew that we wanted a countryside setting overlooking a sweeping landscape, to feel as though we were perched on the edge of the earth as we read our vows. I dreamt of getting married in Tuscany since I was a little girl, and the place had captivated me ever since a trip I took when I was 15. Only after looking for several months Stateside did we decide to take the leap and have our wedding in Italy, sight unseen!

Every single detail came together beautifully for our 45 guests, from the string duo that played the song both of our parents were married to as we walked down the aisle to the gelato cart that served special treats during the cocktail hour to the reception in an olive grove under the stars with a full moon above us. Blush and dusty blue tones accented the greenery and gold of the natural landscape while little details and personal touches made our day feel truly magical including the hand-calligraphed ribbon that bore a tribute to my grandmother, the handkerchief with a message for my father, and the hand-painted drawing of my wedding shoes by Happy Menocal.
