From Emily March Photography... DC natives Erica and Dan fell in love with Sonoma during their first visit, picked their wedding venue during the second, and got married during the third. Sonoma's charm and beauty are undeniable, and that's part of what makes this area so prefect for celebrations.

The wonderful team at A Savvy Event designed and executed an event that will forever be one of my favorites. They brought together the relaxed nature of California and subtle elegance of East Coast affairs seamlessly. Pops of bright florals provided bits of color everywhere - from the elaborate ceremony arch to the intimate tables set beside the vineyards. The florals designed by Julie Stevens are truly some of my favorites that I've photographed!

Family and cultural traditions were also not lacking. The lasso and arras (exchanging of gold coins) ceremonies are classic Spanish traditions and symbolize the couple becoming one and sharing all their earthly possessions. They were beautiful details and I loved styling them with the simple and sophisticated wedding invitations. Dan's family also celebrates new marriages with a shot of whiskey immediately after the ceremony, which definitely got the reception off on the right foot!

Guests dined al fresco beneath a clear blue sky, and, as always, Ramekins Catering served a meal that was as beautiful as it was tasty. With the end of dinner, family and friends moved inside for cake and dancing set beneath crystal chandeliers.

Erica and Dan's friendly personalities made them a dream to photograph. I absolutely loved whisking them off into the vineyards for portraits and the light at their wedding was the stuff of dreams. These two are absolute gems and it was so, so fun to be a part of their wedding!
