DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS
Comparing yourself to others is never a good idea, and in the new year, try to ignore outside pressure. "Don't get lost in what others are doing or achieving and don't compare yourself to your friends or others getting married," says Michelle. "Just focus on what's the best for you!"

GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK
"Brides are way too hard on themselves and there's so much pressure surrounding the wedding as well," says Marisa. "Coming out of the holidays, brides just feel this pressure and they put that pressure on themselves—I think that brides need to give themselves a break." And we know it may be hard, but limiting the time you spend on Pinterest, or the time you spend looking at other people's weddings, can go a long way in your overall happiness. "I think because we see so much on Pinterest, brides think they have to do certain things and everything has to be perfect," says Marisa. "Don't just do a Pinterest detail because you saw it and think it's cool, do it because it resembles your relationship and who you are."
