This couple’s adorable fur baby made her presence known during her parent’s special day… right on her mama’s pretty dress. Sara Lynn captured this sweet moment – and many, many more – from this al fresco Colorado celebration; from the beautiful Jenny Yoo bridesmaids’ dresses to dinner underneath the twinkling lights, it was simply stunning. See all the photos – including more of this precious pup – in our gallery right this way!
From Sara Lynn… Ashley and Mark moved to Colorado and wanted to host their wedding day in the foothills for their closest friends and family, all from out of state. Because it would be a destination for their guests, they wanted to create an intimate and timeless celebration. Ashley picked pinks and lots of greens as her main color palette and chose to host dinner under the twinkle lights as the sun set. Ashley and Mark’s fur-baby, Lulu, was their flower-pup and stayed by Ashley’s side throughout the entire day, making Ashley’s gown her “spot”.
From the Bride… The inspiration for our big day was focused around our honeymoon destination, Greece. Getting married at a Mediterranean Villa in the middle of Colorado was just the start of bringing it all together. From there we focused our food theme of the Mountains meet the Mediterranean, incorporating traditional Greek dishes with local Colorado ingredients such as bison and chevre. To give it a bit more flare, we included gold as a main accent, with lots of greenery and even olive branches in every menu setting. The entire evening was outdoors, to soak up the Colorado scenery and experience Colorado’s low humidity. My favorite moment of the entire evening was the ceremony. Being the youngest of four girls and the last to be married, I’ve waited seventeen years since my father walked my first sister down the aisle. Having it finally be my turn was something I’ve always looked forward to and having the love of my life waiting at the end. Seeing Mark standing under the beautifully decorated arch my father built us, holding our fur-child is a sight I will never forget. We exchanged rings and vows with our fur-child laying by our feet, surrounded by family and friends who had traveled near and far to be there on our special day. The ceremony will forever be my favorite part of our wedding day.
At the end of the day, don’t lose sight of the meaning of the wedding. It’s often easy to get wrapped up in details and aesthetics of the big day, more often than not putting stress on you and your partner. You are marrying your best friend, regardless of what everything looks like or how it all turns out, your wedding day is the first day of forever with your soul mate and that trumps all. Take time during the wedding to take mental photographs. It’s a whirlwind of a day and at times, a sensory overload. The times you stop and really take it all in are the moments you’ll remember forever.
