A Kate Spade Inspired Wedding That Pops!

You probably know something is from Kate Spade without being told – it will likely feature a bold and playful pattern and a girly pop of gold! This Bride drew inspiration from the brand, incorporating that same visual interest into her chic black and white fête. Hello Blue Photo captured all the fabulous details, from the high-low Alfred Sung Bridesmaids' dresses to the festive sweets by Bee'in Creative With Cookies, and the whole glamorous celebration is waiting for you in the Vault.

From the Bride... Chris is from Palm Springs, so the desert is like our second home. I love wintertime, and Christmas is my favorite holiday! We knew we wanted to get married in December, and the weather is just beautiful year-round in the desert, so we started to look for venues in the Palm Springs area. We visited the Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells and immediately fell in love. We loved the romantic architecture of the resort and the idea of getting married under a beautiful olive tree at sunset.

I have always loved the elegant style of a black and white wedding, and I used that vision while also incorporating "Kate Spade" inspired elements along with hints of gold to bring in the sparkle of winter season. The Groomsmen all wore black suits with bow ties and my Bridesmaids wore black and ivory, high-low dresses. I wanted my Bridesmaids to add their own touches by choosing their own gold statement necklaces and gold heels for the day!

It was really important to Chris and I that we include as many friends and family in our wedding as possible. Chris's younger brother was our officiant, my older brother and cousin played acoustic guitar during our ceremony, and one of the Groomsmen and his girlfriend performed our first dance song. We also made sure to include my adorable nephew as our ring bearer and three little cousins as our perfect flower girls!

I knew that I wanted to plan my own wedding, so one of my biggest tasks was finding vendors that could help take my ideas and turn them into a reality. Christina Wells at Hello Blue Photo was the first person that we spoke with during our wedding planning process. Chris and I felt so comfortable with her starting from the first time we met. She was able to capture our wedding beautifully using the natural light of the desert sunset. Nothing ever felt posed or forced, and she truly captured the highlights of our special day!
