When a graphic designer and fashion design instructor tie the knot, you can expect a stylish affair and that was certainly the case for Dominique and Curt’s big day. They opted to skip the stress and minimize the fuss with a pop-up ceremony in Joshua Tree, California. Dominique stunned in a BHLDN bridal jumpsuit and post-vows the couple celebrated with donuts and champagne. Head to the gallery for even more captured by Gaby J Photography.
From Gaby J Photography… Dominique, a fashion design instructor, and Curt, a graphic designer, met 3 years ago in Philadelphia through a mutual friend. They couldn’t have met at the worst time – Dominique was in the middle of moving to Charleston and Curt was moving to San Francisco later on in the year.
After a couple of dates together, they kept in touch but knew it was too good to be true. On a whim, Dominique asked Curt to visit her in Charleston and shortly after, he asked her what she would think if he moved there. Of course, Dominique wanted him there more than ever but left the decision up to him. I’m sure you can guess his decision!
Dominique and Curt are both avid outdoorsy people and the desert has a small piece of their hearts. They knew they wanted to elope and have a stress free, intimate day just between the two them. Unanimously, they chose to elope in Joshua Tree, CA and have a pop-up ceremony by Flora Pop.
Being a fashion design instructor, Dominique wore a vintage white jumper paired with sparkly Jimmy Choos. Curt wore a minimal floral print tie and tailored suit. They started their wedding day together in their Airbnb relaxing with drinks in their hand and snacking from a charcuterie board spread.
They walked hand-in-hand to their favorite spot in the desert and professed their vows to each other amongst wild flowers and pre historic boulders under a magical sun setting sky.
