A Farm-to-Table Wedding For a Couple Who Loves to Cook
We first met Aisha and Ben with their adorable waffle-making engagement session set in their California home. Today, these two are back to share a glimpse into their Sunstone Villa wedding with an intimate dinner party vibe. They treated their guests to a farm-to-table experience with heartfelt, personal details woven throughout the day. From Rebecca Yale... Aisha and Ben were married on a lovely Spring day in Santa Ynez, CA at Sunstone Vineyard. The bride and groom love to cook (their engagement session featured earlier this year was them making Sunday morning waffles) and wanted their wedding to feel like one big farm to table dinner party for all of their friends and family.
Inspired by the lavender fields in Santa Ynez the bridesmaids each carried small bunches of lavender, which popped against their black gowns. The groomsmen wore black suits while the groom wore blue, which the bride matched with her fun daisy covered shoes. Both bride and groom were escorted down the aisle by both sets of parents and were joined by their bridesmaids and groomsmen at the chuppah. A friend officiated the ceremony while multiple friends made personalized readings including a song.
Post ceremony guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'ouerves by the tent before being welcomed to dinner and dancing. Instead of a traditional cake, the bride and groom opted for made-to-order ice cream by Super Cool Creamery, a dessert bar and then late night grilled cheese and french fries.
