The pastoral grounds of Mount Hope Farm provided the quintessential New England backdrop for our romantic, spring editorial shoot. This was our prelude to the spring wedding season! Mount Hope Farm has such beautiful, bucolic grounds – even their own set of sweet farm animals! And the weather was a perfect spring day!
We wanted to evoke a feeling of an English countryside but with a casual elegance we find so often of our Brides here in the Northeast. Beth Chapman of the White Dress by the Shore chose a beautiful, painted blue floral dress created by Kate McDonald Bridal. It was a stunning new nod to the neutral palette that is still trending today. Lynda Williams Beauty complemented the look with classic makeup and long locks on our model. The Bridesmaid wore a gorgeous marine green gown with her hair in a fun braid.
The table setting was a collaboration between Russell Morin, Exquisite Events Decor, and Hana Floral Design. We used a whitewashed farmhouse table, regency chairs, and a settee for two. Exquisite Events Decor framed the barn with sweeping white draping as well as a crystal chandelier. Classic gold rimmed chargers, clear stemware, and gold flatware were offset with accents of vintage floral china from Yumiko Fletcher’s (of Hana Floral Design) personal collection. Hana Floral Design created a lush floral tablescape using seasonal flowers with punches of coral, orange, peach, and pale blue. Peonies, sweet pea, fritillaria, hybrid delphinium, muscari, ranunculus, and french tulips were the focal flowers used throughout the centerpieces as well as in the bouquets. The invitation suite mimicked the dress with a floral envelope liner and sweet illustrations of the barn. All of it was captured so eloquently by the amazing Maggie Conley Photography.
