Set in Washington DC, this classic winter wedding moved through some of the best spots in the city – getting ready at The Willard Intercontinental Hotel, taking bridal party portraits at Union Station, and saying “I do” at the beautiful and historic Meridian House. Audra Wrisley Photography captured the day, and you can see more of this elegant DC beauty in the Vault.
From Audra Wrisley Photography… Lauren and Matt’s Meridian House winter wedding was held on a perfectly crisp January day with soft light and warm joy that spread from beginning to end. From the stunning ivory and taupe stationery suite to the ivory and green florals, the elegant tone was set for their guests who traveled from near and far to spend the day celebrating this sweet couple.
On their wedding day, set in the heart of Washington DC, we were able to capture snippets from all around the city, beginning with the getting ready excitement at the Willard Hotel, then onto Union Station for portraits, and later with the wedding festivities at the incredible Meridian House. As a former ambassador’s home constructed in the 1920s, each room of the Meridian House is full of character and history, from the intricate french paintings to the antique oriental porcelain adorning the spaces. Dinner was held in the library room and dining rooms, where heartfelt toasts preceded an amazing first dance in the ballroom.
