There is a reason Spring is such a popular season for weddings… the blooms! And cherry blossoms are at the top of that Love of All Things Florals list. See how this team of creatives were inspired by that pretty blushing branch with a stunning flower filled shoot including design by Type A Society, florals by Wild Green Yonder, and imagery by Angela Newton Roy. This beautiful springtime editorial was inspired by the entrance of spring in the Washington DC area marked by the epic Japanese-gifted Cherry Blossoms to our city. We wanted to give our spring brides inspiration to work into their bridal portraits, invitations, tablescape, and hair + makeup. We have all seen the traditional engagement cherry blossom session, but we wanted to show brides how to do something a little different and get creative with the blossoms by bringing them indoors and utilizing them in the tablescape, styling, and even having them mirrored in the gorgeous Gossamer dress we used on our model. Springtime blooms and branches are a such a unique way to bring floral into your wedding table. Building the arrangement directly on the table giving the illusion of branches organically growing up from the center made the arrangement feel like it was part of the table. I think my favorite part about styling this editorial was the Gossamer dress that literally looked like it was pulled from a cherry blossom tree. The floral applique details were perfection mixed with our beautiful model’s perfect skin tone- made for some stunning portraits.
