Capturing an Engagement in this Couple's Favorite Getaway Spot

San Francisco is a city with many a gorgeous backdrop and this destination engagement is hitting all the classic gems like City Hall. From sweeping views to larger than life grand staircases and some seriously stunning fashion moments, see how Jasmine Lee Photography captured these two in a city they hold near and dear to their hearts.

From the Bride to Be...Abid and I met in 2015 in Houston and the rest was history. He lived in Seattle at the time, so long distance was the biggest obstacle in our relationship. Our first trip together was to San Francisco, he attended Berkeley, showed me his stomping grounds and I instantly fell in love with the magical city. When he proposed, I knew I wanted to have my engagement session in the vibrant city! Coincidentally Jasmine Lee, who I have been following on iG for quite some time, was based in SF. The stars were aligned! I wanted our engagement photos to have a modern appeal. I desired for our attire to be darker, sleeker-a more elegant feel. Abid doesn't get the chance to wear sweaters in Houston, so he jumped at the opportunity. As for me, I sought after solid pieces with beading. The dress was bought at Neiman and the gold beaded top paired with the skirt was found at an antique boutique. (My best friend and I started antiquing as a new hobby)

As we wrapped up the session, Jasmine suggested I use the gold top as a background for the ring shot (so creative) and it was perfect! A very old piece with the newest gem in my collection.
