This Blush Colored City is Perfect for a Wildly Romantic Elopement

Charleston is one of those places that has romance at every turn and it only has a wee bit to do with its blush colored buildings, Spanish Moss laced streets and horse drawn carriages. All in all it's about as perfect a spot as can be for an intimate destination wedding. Especially one at the hands of Sweet Magnolia Flowers and Shining Light Photography. Take a little Southern style vacay right here.

From the Bride... We knew from the beginning that we wanted to do a destination wedding. We both wanted something small, intimate and romantic. Initially setting out to find a beach destination we quickly realized that wasn't the best fit for us. It wasn't until our last night in Charleston on our visit to find a venue that we heard about Battery Park while at dinner. With it only being a few blocks away from the restaurant we decided to check it out. Even with it being late at night we both knew that with the ocean and its breeze combined with all of the Spanish moss, beautiful trees, and history that it would be the perfect setting for our special day. Except for in a few search engine pictures online, we didn't see all of the beauty it had to offer until months later when we came to look for vendors. Even then, we couldn't have imagined how breathtaking and perfect it would actually be for our wedding day.

I was so nervous about it being a public venue and I thought I wouldn't enjoy having strangers watch our wedding. But I loved that as soon as I walked down the aisle people stopped and were so respectful of our moment. It was such a wonderful thing that to people who I will never even know their names stopped us as we took pictures to tell us how they watched our whole wedding and how magical it was. They got to be a small part of our happy ever after.
