Engagement sessions can be awkward. Especially if you've never worked with a photographer before! But when you choose a location you love? All those jittery e-sesh feels melt away. Whether it's the cute coffee shop you go to every weekend or the first city where you fell in love—like these two sweeties captured by Sawyer Baird. They let New York City be their backdrop and the results are dreamy as ever.

From the Bride... Ben and I started dating our last year of college at Georgia Tech. Soon thereafter, I moved to Manhattan to start my career and after doing long distance for a bit, he also decided to move to NY to be closer to me while pursuing his career as well. We fell in love with the city that shaped us into who we are today. We moved back home to Atlanta a few years later to be closer to our families but ultimately decided to have our engagement shoot in NY because we absolutely fell in love with the city -- we love how all of the neighborhoods have such distinct characteristics, the vast variety of arts and culture, the amazing architecture, all of it! Overall, we felt that our time in NYC was full of adventure and growth and we wanted to find a way to commemorate our time together.
