Event Planner Weds in Serious Style in Santa Monica

Speaking from experience, working in the wedding industry puts a little extra pressure on when planning your own Big Day. But our beautiful Bride, Dalit (who happens to be a part of the incredible team at Lady Liberty Events) made that task look effortless for her Santa Monica wedding. Not to mention, she looks stunning as ever in that Monique Lhullier dress! Julie Pepin snapped up every pretty bit and you won’t want to miss it—head to The Vault for more.

From Lady Liberty EventsDalit and Jordan… these two have the kind of love that you can FEEL if you are in the same room as them. The way they look at each other must seriously be how fairytales were written because, as cheesy as it sounds… this prince found his princess and this princess found her prince. That IS for SURE. Their magical day was filled to the brim with California Modern Romance starting from their first look, down to the last confetti kiss of the night.

Dalit (who is a vital part of the Lady Liberty Events team) was about to embark on her own wedding day and let me tell you…. she was the most relaxed and tranquil bride the entire day! “Leading up to my big day, I was so concerned that I was going to be a stress case, worrying about all the little details and making sure it all came together like we had imagined! Knowing what a perfectionist I am when working with other brides, I thought there was no way I would be able to relax and most importantly be present. When I woke up that morning I was remarkably calm and overwhelmed with excitement and joy. We always remind our brides (and grooms) not to forget what this day is REALLY about…. so I took my own advice and knowing that I was in excellent hands, I was able to truly focus on what mattered and could not WAIT to marry Jordan and get our party started!”

With Jordan drawn more to the styling of traditional and modern weddings and Dalit favoring the romantically wild and organic side of design, we did a mash up to create an ambiance that embodied both of their styles.

An all white, blind embossed, invitation with hints of rose gold foil provided a unique and stylish suite showcasing their killer monogram and custom pattern (created by Prim & Pixie) which was cleverly incorporated into other areas of the day. Welcome bags with their rose gold monogram were filled with items encouraging guests to indulge, hydrate, santé, protect, and recover during the weekends celebrations.

Glowing in her sleek and sexy Monique L’hullier lace gown, Dalit was surrounded by her squad of besties all dressed in ombre hues of antique blush, rose gold, and champagne. Holding a lush bouquet of large white blooms with hints of trailing greens, this gal was ready to go say I do to the man of her dreams. Jordan, very handsomely outfitted in his suave black tuxedo anxiously awaited for Dalit to make her way to him, standing under a chuppah of white blooms, romantic vines, and his families treasured Tallis. “The Chuppah was one of my favorite design elements from the wedding, I loved how romantic and abundant it looked. Kristen from Moon Canyon really conveyed what I envisioned into a reality … I remember thinking while I was standing there looking at Jordan, This feels so Magical”

Excited to get the party started, Dalit and Jordan wanted guests to enter the ballroom and head directly to the dance floor. With the room dimly lit in hues of toasted amber and rose gold, along with the shimmering effects from the incredible disco ball installation overhead, guests were beckoned to the dance floor. Starting the night off with a quick dance set, everyone was on their feet when Dalit & Jordan made their grand entrance, then leading their guests into The Hora. The band, performing in front of a cascading display of dimly lit felini bulbs, definitely knew how to keep the dance floor packed!

Tall boxwood hedging & romantic white drapery provided the ideal backdrop for the head table. Dalit and Jordan sat side by side in a sweet love-sette, perfectly framed by the Pour La Vie sign that was illuminated behind them.

Ghost chairs surrounded all of the dining tables, donning guests’ names and indicating their place setting. At the end of the evening there were a few guests who tried to take the chairs home with them thinking they were favors! We got a good laugh from that one. The sexy mirrored kings tables were styled with a collection of low white florals and a mix of votive and taper candles. The lustrous blown glass taper vessels added a contemporary and flirty flair. Reflections from the flickering candlelight, disco balls, and the hotels stunning crystal chandeliers on the mirrored tabletops were simply mesmerizing and gorgeous. The silk linen draped tables, flaunted tall arrangements overflowing with luscious white blooms and circled by varying heights of pillar candles.

A pink ombre display of mini envelopes with a mirrored “Love Notes” sign encouraged guests to write notes for Dalit and Jordan to open up on their anniversaries. The opposite side of the room showcased the towering 5-tier wedding cake; a simple white buttercream textured finish, embellished with a cascade of fresh pink hued blooms, and topped with “Love you more”… this cake was faultless.

With all the guests on the dance floor and the night unfortunately coming to an end, Dalit and Jordan were ready to close the night out with a bang. As one of the final songs were being performed, the crowd was bombed with confetti… CONFETTI KISSES FOR ALL.
