This Classic Ballroom Wedding is the Definition of Blushing Beauty
This St. Louis celebration fully embodies the elegance of a classic ballroom wedding. From the Bride...Before starting the planning process, my husband (Alex) and I had three priorities (well four for me) ; photographer/videographer, food and music and my dress. We had a general idea of what colors we wanted but it wasn’t until we met with our wedding coordinators, Cosmopolitan Events, did we really dive into the details.
I wanted our color palette to be timeless so we went with a warm neutral palette with soft pinks, ivory and rose gold. My style along with my husband’s is traditional and classic, we kept it trendy by using some fun textures for our linens.
We wanted our day to represent us so we included a lot of our favorite foods, drinks and even our favorite charity at our reception. At our reception we served a signature cocktail to greet our guests, St. Louis themed food as our midnight snack which included Gus’ pretzels, toasted ravioli and in lieu of favors, we donated to Friends of Kids with Cancer in our guests names and in support of my niece, Elliana, who is a cancer survivor.
Our favorite moment of the day was our first look. It was exhilarating walking up to him and anticipating his reaction to seeing me in my wedding gown. I’ll treasure those few minutes we shared together before the ceremony forever.
