From The Well Styled Life… Brianne Gabrielle Cakes came to me with a beautiful and unique vision in mind; the desire to blend elegant and timeless pieces with organic and natural elements. On this unique occasion, the design was born from the beautiful and artistic cakes that creator, Brianne Gabrielle, made for the photoshoot. Handcrafted dahlia florals with individual petals perfectly carved and crafted with meticulous detail (you’d think they were real) set the tone for a design that was to mimic natural elements in an elegant setting.
The table-scape was created on a solid wooden harvest table adorned with a silk runners layered on top of each other to create depth and movement. Intricate dinnerware with delicate detailing, rose gold cutlery and gold rimmed glassware balanced the raw and natural wooden elements with a sophisticated and stylish edge. Hand calligraphed place cards, personal blooms on each setting and a raw cut napkin kept true to the timeless and organic vision.
Tucked underneath a beautiful mature tree stood a bar cart atop a vintage floral rug dripping in cafe au lait dahlias. An elderflower rose champagne cocktail, bold and bright summer fruits and white and pink chocolate bonbons adorned with real gold flakes graced the bar.
Particular attention of the design incorporated dahlias throughout all elements of the shoot. It is said that the dahlia flower expresses sentiments of dignity and elegance. It symbolizes a commitment and bond that will last forever –Almost too coincidental and perfect when used as a flower in weddings!
The Truvelle gown with it’s feminine and soft falling shoulder detail gave way to the celebration of femininity and elegance and the beauty team produced soft waves and a fresh face as to allow the natural beauty of the bride to speak volumes.
All in all, this shoot was a celebration of the merging of timeless and organic, elegant and natural, feminine and radiant where bride-to-be’s will be able to relate to and pull inspiration from as they enter into their celebration of marriage.
