‘Tis the season for sweet love stories and proposals by sparkly trees. And this shoot captured by Jamie Mercurio is just that and more. Emily Elizabeth Events created this Christmas story before us, and with gingerbread houses, festive wreaths and an emerald ring that makes us gasp, it’s a scene sure to inspire. From Emily of Emily Elizabeth Events… The holidays are the most romantic time of year and also one of the most popular for proposals. This gave us the inspiration for a Christmas editorial set at Beech Hill Barn. Coming home from parties galore, our couple settles in at home to relax in front of the fire and eat some takeout food before he pops the question. The scene is cozy and festive and she enjoys some prosecco while he opts for a howler from a local microbrewery. Sweet treats include a gingerbread house, cookies, and Yule Log. The house is trimmed simply and we went for a vintage-modern aesthetic, classic with a twist. A Charlie Brown Christmas tree, wreaths, vintage ornaments, thoughtfully hand-wrapped gifts, and cards from family and friends complete the look and feel. The engagement ring is an estate piece with an emerald, adding some sparkle and shine to a momentous occasion – green against the red lace of her dress. Their French bulldog joins in on the fun and approves the marriage proposal, sealing the deal.
