From the Bride… John and I are from Chicago, but ultimately decided to have a destination wedding in Aspen, Colorado, where John had grown up skiing with his family and where his parents now live part-time. It was so amazing to share our special day with our family and friends in such beautiful surroundings, as Aspen is truly gorgeous in the summertime.
I had such a wonderful time planning every detail with the amazing team of Virginia Edelson and Christine Follin of Bluebird Productions. We created a very classic and elegant design, with a blue and white color scheme reflected in many of the details from the invitations and day-of paper materials to the chinoiserie plates and vase arrangements on the dinner tables. Florals at the reception were clean and simple in shades of creams, whites and purples with lots of crisp greenery mixed in. The custom chandeliers trimmed in greenery that hung along the tent ceiling by The Aspen Branch were my absolute favorite, and really tied the design together. Our band, Tunisia, kept all of our guests celebrating and dancing throughout the night, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect celebration with our family and friends.
