An At Home Poolside Ceremony That's Crazy Chic
If there was ever a wedding we'd vie to attend, it would easily be Meg and Franc's. Because the celebration? Crazy chic. The setting? Undeniably beautiful. And the love? Well, you get the picture. From Cathrin D'Entremont Weddings...These two meant to be together forever! A fairy tale in the making with both parents houses only steps away from each other. Their career path crossed for the first time in an operating theatre and that’s where their story began…Both had very similar upbringings. Meg’s father being a Cray fisherman, a lot of her youth revolved around the ocean and Franc grew up on an island in the Caribbean Sea.
Their work leaves very little time for anything else, never mind organizing a wedding, so I was delighted to be asked to design and plan their wedding. They both wanted to hold the ceremony at his parents’ home and then have the guests just walk a few houses down to hold the reception at her parents’ home.
Meg and Franc love soft pink colours and with Franc's Mum being a watercolour artist she started immediately on the invitation design. They turned out to be amazing! The ceremony was set-up by the pool in the backyard immediately to be followed by champagne toasts. The guests made their way to the reception following a bag pipers music, who is a family friend.
Meg and Franc wanted a family feast style dinner with one plate being crayfish supplied by Meg’s Dad. Signature cocktails throughout the night and a caricaturist entertaining the guests. Jess, Meg’s long time friend and bridesmaid made the 3 tier naked cake. I can personally vouch that it tasted amazing.
