Even a Torn ACL Couldn't Keep This Beautiful Bride Down!

Just weeks before her big day, this beautiful Bride tore her ACL during one of those classic pre-wedding workouts. But determined not to let this hiccup keep her down, she said goodbye to her four inch heels and moved forward. And as seen in these pics by Cody Raisig, that injury was nothing compared to her stunning smiles captured with her new hubby. See it all in our Vault right this way!

From the Bride... Jeff and I got engaged on April 18, 2015, and we started planning our wedding immediately to accommodate an early-spring wedding for the following year. St. Francis Xavier and Tribeca Rooftop were the first big decisions we made, fortuitously inspiring the wedding’s other decisions. Tribeca Rooftop’s expansive views brought out our desire for classic elegance, and St. Francis Xavier’s cathedral-like grandeur influenced our decisions around music, stationery, colors, flowers, and my dress. We didn’t necessarily have a desired theme, but a desired feeling – timeless, regal, elegant; and at the same time, fun, light, and pretty.

There weren’t too many wedding-planning hiccups; however, six weeks prior to the big day, I managed to tear my ACL and meniscus during my wedding-workout regimen. This caused a bit of bridal angst – I had to forget about my super-fit-bride dreams and four inch heels. But it was such an incredible blessing and relief when our wedding day turned out to be one of the prettiest days of the month. From the weather to the ceremony, and to our guests who came from near and far, Jeff and I couldn’t have dreamt a better day. While we can’t relive our wedding day, the pictures and videos that Cody Raisig Photography and videography team Visual Poets help us remember the details and feel. We are so grateful to them, as well as our other vendors, for helping us piece together our dream day.
