There are anniversaries, and then there are anniversaries set amongst the Tanzanian landscape at the Serengeti Bushtops. The former is the incredible celebration we’re about to unfold. Designed by Joy Proctor and photographed KT Merry, it’s all the reason you’ll ever need to begin planning an African honeymoon, anniversary, or “just because” trip with the one you love. From Joy Proctor… After their wedding, Vicky and Jon chose to spend their anniversary surrounded by the magic of the African wilderness. Inspired by the beauty of the Tanzanian landscape and organic details of the Serengeti Bushtops they took a small plane into the remote camp and brought along photographer KT Merry Photography to capture their adventure. Setting out on the first day they gathered their backpacks, binoculars, and hats and headed out to see the animals. After a picnic lunch under a tree, and a long drive around the reserve they headed back to camp to get ready for a beautiful, candlelit dinner. Changing into a flowing Elie Saab gown and a clean suit, Vicky and Jon enjoyed dinner surrounded by candle lanterns.
