They Said "I Do" at Australia's Oldest Church and it was Breathtaking!
It's hard to top an Eiffel Tower proposal, but these two sweeties managed to do just that with a wedding that was even MORE romantic than their ice skating engagement in the City of Light. Think a stunning ceremony in Australia's oldest church followed by a sweet celebration at the beautiful bride's grandparents' farm, all designed by Decorative Events and Exhibitions and captured by Gabriela Ana Weddings. See the breathtaking results in THE VAULT.
From Gabriela Ana Weddings... Lucy and Paul had the most beautiful early spring wedding getting married at Australia’s Oldest Church, Ebenezer Church, which Paul’s ancestors actually help built (amazing!).
The reception was held at Lucy’s grandparents acreage on their breathtaking property in Mt Wilson nestled within the Blue Mountains, Australia in a Marquee. Lucy had always wanted to have her wedding at her grandparents place ever since she was a little girl.
Lucy and Paul are both nurses and met while Lucy was on work placement on Paul's ward. Lucy even yelled out “By the way, my name is Lucy!” after she met Paul while he walked away so he wouldn't forget who she was! From there, their romance blossomed and then Paul proposed on their overseas holiday to Europe on Christmas Eve while ice skating in front of the Eiffel tower. Because the ice was so cold Paul didn’t want to bend down on one knee until Lucy made him do it again on one knee to make it official. (I think I would have done the same haha!)
