The Prettiest Color Palette We Ever Did See!

It's the stories that make me feel like I really know our brides. With a little extra info, colors sparkle even brighter than before. And Dana Cubbage's pics do just that. Being the oldest grandchild in her family, this Bride's grandparents traveled all the way from India and they brought the necklace and earrings she wore on her big day - these special touches - and Ooh! Events' beyond beautiful blooms - are what make our SMP hearts pitter patter. Read on and see all the colorful pics in our Vault this way!

From Dana Cubbage Weddings... The Governor Thomas Bennett House in downtown Charleston is one of my favorite venues. Nestled in the quiet Harleston Village neighborhood, it's one of the best kept secrets in town! Washington DC residents Chandra and Andy chose this beautiful Southern venue for their wedding on April 9, 2016 and it was the perfect setting for their elegant pastel garden wedding.

After sharing a romantic First Look together, Chandra and Andy were joined by their bridal party and families for photos before their intimate garden ceremony. Chandra has a mixed cultural and religious background, so their ceremony incorporated traditions from both her Indian and Jewish heritages which made their ceremony so unique and personal! Chandra is the oldest grandchild in her family, so this wedding was a big deal for her grandparents. Her dad's mother traveled all the way from India for the occasion... and brought Chandra the necklace and earrings she wore on her wedding day! Such a special touch.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour both inside and on the porch of the Thomas Bennett House before heading down to the reception under a huge Sperry tent! Linen table cloths, wooden chiavari chairs, elegant white floral centerpieces, and gold votive candles created a romantic vibe for this beautiful springtime wedding.

The ladies of The Burlap Elephant did such a fabulous job with this wedding! Guests were treated to a seated dinner before hitting the dance floor... and hitting the dance floor is just what they did! It was packed ALL NIGHT and I'm pretty sure Chandra and Andy never left it either! It was an amazing evening for a wonderful couple!
