Long gone are the days of matchy-matchy being the only way to dress your bridesmaids. It’s 2016, and when it comes to ‘maid style the options are absolutely endless. Need a little inpso to get you started? Melissa Jill and her vendor crew are here to help. Scroll on for mismatched gowns, insane florals, and of course, a handsome groom for good measure.
From Melissa Jill Photography…More and more often recently, I see brides and their bridesmaids expressing their individuality with beautifully mismatched dresses, hair styles, and accessories. I find this trend so inspiring, and wanted to reflect and encourage it with a photo shoot that incorporated a fresh, youthful aesthetic.
The beautiful gowns, provided by Bella Bridesmaid in Phoenix, were my staring point. We chose an eclectic mix-and-match style to pull together gray and navy tones. The pink and coral shades in the gorgeous florals provided by Carte Blanche Design offset the neutral colors of the gowns perfectly. Together, the gowns and flowers work amazingly to create a fun and fresh color-palette for spring and summer! The hairstyles were crafted by Emily Hughes to be soft but elegant, and Michelle Wright styled the makeup for a natural look that is both flattering and current.
I’m delighted with the way this styled shoot came together into something beautiful and one-of-a-kind! I hope it inspires brides and bridesmaids to play with shades, textures, and styling to create a unique look that is all their own!
