Rain or Shine, This Organic Affair Was Absolutely Breathtaking
Rain or shine, this darling duo was going to celebrate. And when the overcast skies moved in on their uber-romantic forest wedding, that, my friends, is exactly what they did. Think beautifully crafted organic details meets a breathtaking tree-covered ceremony meets dancing under the stars, a light dusting of rain included. From Christie Graham Photography...Scott and Amanda’s wedding took me to the Pemberton Valley in July, one of my favorite places in BC. Typically sun filled and warm in summer months, the weather took an unexpected turn to cooler temperatures and light rain. A welcomed drink for the forests which had been engulfed by wild fires all summer long.
Not for one second did I see disappointment on their faces. Their laughter was big. Their smiles were bigger. Rain or shine.
A few things made this wedding a highlight for me: Firstly, the venue, Green Water Resort- this property in the valley is truly unique. It rests on the river surrounded by mountains and farmer’s fields. The tented reception is nestled in the trees while the dance floor is under strings of cafe lights under the stars. Secondly, the bride’s style- Amanda stayed true to who she is, rocking a Katie May dress that was perfect for her. Lastly, the joy of the day- Scott and Amanda have a lot of fun together, it’s easy to see, and their wedding day was no exception. They laughed, they cried, they joked around. It was a day of celebrating their love and the life they have built together.
