Paper Parasols, Yummy Cocktails, and a Dreamy Summer Wedding!
Just imagine being greeted with a glass of champagne as you enter this garden ceremony. Now imagine making your way to the reception, only to find a place setting as perfect as this. It's exactly what was in store for Shannon and Nick's guests as they celebrated one summer day, with careful planning and design by the ever-fabulous Joy Proctor. Lacie Hansen brought her A-game with photography, and you can live vicariously through each and every image.
From Joy Proctor Design... Shannon and Nick chose to exchange their vows in an intimate ceremony at the historic San Ysidro Ranch. The elegant yet understated location inspired the design, which was based around the ranches many gardens, including the vegetable garden which inspired the table names and overall theme.
Guests were greeted with champagne as they entered the ceremony gardens, taking their seats at vintage Bentwood chairs. The couple exchanged their vows in front of a beautiful grade trellis, with wild, organic floral arrangements on either side of them.
After the ceremony guests made their way to another garden, playing bocce ball and taking Polaroids of one another as the sun set. The couple led guests to dinner through a rustic, historic building outside of which sage green table assignments sat.
Keeping true to the garden elegance of the property, organic floral arrangements in wooden dough bowls sat on the dinner tables between which hand-drawn vegetable table cards. Guests names were written hand calligraphy outage tied around menus and placed atop soft ivory table linens.
