From the Bride... We were high school acquaintances turned into college dating and then reconnected years later by the help of a good friend. To us, it was meant to be that we ended up together at the right time in our lives. From the beginning of the wedding planning process we knew we wanted to have a wedding in October since fall is our favorite time of year. We wanted our wedding to have a relaxed feel but the style to be rustic and elegant. After searching for the right venue, we decided on Wilson Creek Winery, nestled in the rolling hills and lush vineyards of Temecula. Our ceremony took place in the middle of the vineyard, where we and our guests were driven to a beautiful, unique private sight in the center of the grape vines. The natural beauty and rustic structure gave us the intimate ceremony we wanted.
Our wedding decor was unique and special to us because my Mother handmade all of our wedding signs and decorations on her own. My mother is the most creative person we know, so we enlisted her help with making the rustic signage. She deconstructed shipping pallets, then stained and created all of the hand painted signs. She also hand painted 150 custom wood place cards for each guest at the reception. The custom wood place cards were a long and tedious task, but they turned out amazing and were a great memento that our guests loved.
The floral arrangements that Flower Allie made for us were exquisite! We wanted to create a soft, romantic theme with the florals so we used Juliet garden roses, cafe ole dahlias, silver dollar eucalyptus, hypericum berries, ranunculus, dusty millers and succulents.
There were so many special moments of our wedding day but one of my favorite memories was when I saw Randy at the end of the aisle tearing up when he saw me walking in. My heart could have beat right out of my chest! Everyone watched, yet we felt like we were the only two people there.
My husband, Randy, is a USC Alumni and huge fan along with his brother and his Dad. I give Randy so much credit for letting us plan our special day on one of the biggest USC games of the year! From the matching USC cufflinks that Randy gave to his father and brother (which they all wore!) to the humorous speeches mentioning the game, the USC game was definitely a recurring theme throughout the night.
As we look back we can’t help but think how incredibly blessed we are. We owe thanks to our loving families, friends and amazing vendors who all played an important role in creating the best day of our lives. Overall, it was a perfect night and our wedding was beyond our wildest dreams!
