From The Bride...Bobby and I met in 2008 on the set of Disney’s once popular show Hannah Montana. From the start we became almost instant best friends. Although at the time we were on different paths, I had just started my freshman year of college, and he had just moved to California to pursue an acting career, one thing we bonded over was our love and appreciation of nature. When almost 6 years later we got engaged, we knew we wanted our wedding to be outdoors. Nature holds a special place in our hearts, being outside makes us feel more connected to each other and our spirituality. We wanted this love of nature to be present in our wedding day, from our ceremony to décor. For our florals you will see a lot of greenery, with very minimal flowers or colors. We were so fortunate to be married at such a gorgeous venue that we did not want to overwhelm the already beautiful backdrop. Down the aisle and around the trunk of the oak tree we had sporadic bunches of lavender and fern along with lanterns. We wanted an organic feel to the ceremony site and wanted it to feel as if the lavender and fern had sprouted there on its’ own. We also used lanterns along with varying mercury glass and garland to adorn our guest tables; this created a romantic and intimate feel to our wedding.

Early on in the wedding process Bobby and I decided to come up with a logo that we could use throughout our wedding, but also something to use in the future as we formed our own family. With the help of our wonderful printer and friend David Schwarz, we created the tree logo that can be seen on all our paper goods from save the dates, to wedding invitations and throughout the décor. This logo not only represents the tree we were married under, but also our future family tree we will create. I absolutely love the details when it comes to weddings, so it was so fun adding in the little things like our beloved dog on our cake, surprising my groom with signs during the ceremony and our diy olive oil favors.

Family is an integral part of our lives and this can also be seen throughout the décor and day. A lot of the items on the coffee tables and throughout the farmhouse were items we borrowed from our families’ homes. We wanted the farmhouse to look and feel as though guests were walking into our home. We included vintage picture frames with photos of lost loved ones on the fireplace mantle and tables to honor those we loved who have now passed. Some of the pillows on the furniture were painted by my cousin with our tree logo and monogram, while others we found through Etsy.

The day of our wedding was the most amazing day. The bridesmaids and I were there early in the morning getting ready, and it was so special watching my wonderful team of vendors turn an already beautiful place into an absolute dream. Both Bobby and I felt so loved having all our closest friends and family there to support and celebrate our love for each other. Our officiant, my cousin, had worked so hard with us to help create a personalized ceremony, during which Bobby and I read letters to each other we had wrote prior to the ceremony. The whole day Bobby and I were on cloud 9 and could not be happier with how perfect the day was to us. As everyone had told me it would, our wedding day flew by and before we knew it we were on to our sparkler exit and off to our hotel. Treasure every moment of your wedding day, take it all in because it will go by in a blink of an eye. Our wedding would not have been as magical without the help from our amazing vendor team including: Callista & Co., Wisteria Lane Flowers, Andrew Jade Photography, Serendipity Cinematography, Seasons Catering, The Butter End Cakery, A Rental Connection, Archive Rentals, The Class, and Manhattan RePro.
