A Nautical South Carolina Island Wedding
There isn't a single image in this gallery I wouldn't hang on my wall. That is a true statement. They are truly as gorgeous as they come. I can only imagine the look of this beautiful couples' face when they first laid eyes on their big day as seen through The Happy Bloom's amazing lens, and I couldn't be more thankful that they shared them with us. See them all in the VAULT.
From The Happy Bloom...Daufuskie Island is a quaint little island that most people have never heard off. It’s nestled in between Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The island is just over 8 square miles and can only be accessed by ferry. Yep, ferry! What a grand way to welcome your guests to your wedding day!
Chrissy + Bo’s guests arrived in Hilton Head and were greeted with refreshments. They then were treated to half hour ferry ride on a warm and beautiful September day. At this exact time, Chrissy was finishing her hair and getting ready for her bridal portraits. Chrissy and her bridesmaids got ready at Chrissy’s family home where her parents live today. Her girls, dressed in chic and nautical navy, gathered round and giggled as we all went out back for portraits. Simple, clean and white bouquets completed their sophisticated and classic look. Having portraits is a great thing but having portraits in your parents’ backyard? That’s truly special and something that Chrissy will always cherish.
At around this same time, the boys began to get ready over at the historic Haig Point Lighthouse. Khaki suits + navy ties gave these guys the perfect Southern touch.
After the ceremony, Chrissy + Bo explored the island for their portraits making sure to take advantage of the setting Southern sun.
