To say that we’re madly in love with the floral stylings of Les Fleurs would be putting it mildly, because quite frankly we’re downright uhb-sessed with this powerhouse of petals. So when they shared their most recent interpretation of Pantone’s 2016 color predictions, we kind of lost our minds (in the best way possible). A perfect pastel pairing that is sure to leave you PINNING, Caroline Winn Photography captured it all to share and we’ve got it waiting in The Vault!
From Les Fleurs… When we first saw the Pantone colors for 2016 we were just giddy and couldn’t wait to get to designing with them! Rose quartz and serenity inspired this winter shoot we styled at the sweetest New England tree farm. This color palette can transition from season to season with the use of seasonal blooms in these tones and accessories. We wanted to play off the winter months.
When I create bouquets I like the flowers & greenery to have a sense of season. For this inspiration shoot I wanted to share with brides how fresh these Pantone colors were for a winter wedding. When designing the bouquet I used peonies and garden roses to pull in the rose quartz along with light blue delphinium for serenity along with winter greens like carolina sapphire and silver dollar eucalyptus. Creamy white peonies and spray roses with dusty miller played off the rose and serenity tones. I finished the bouquet with a subtle collection of Midori Ribbons in antique whites, barley-there blues and a rose-y pink French satin, dupioni silk and French organza.
For the table setting… we started with the dreamiest white all sequin linen from Table Toppers that looked like freshly fallen snow. Rich gold flatware and antique china had a warmth that this palette needed to feel rich. During our collaborations we talked about a saturated neutral to stay with the rich-ness we felt we wanted to portray against the otherwise soft palette. Our hopes were that bride’s could envision their bridesmaids in sapphire gowns with mink shrugs carrying these bouquets through a lightly falling snow… picture heaven!! Carrying the sapphire blue to the table was a fine line. We didn’t want the sapphire to take over the serenity. Calligrapher, Abigail Matses created menus, table numbers and place cards from hand torn linen paper with a water color application. Flocked pinecones with carolina sapphire details were a lovely winter touch! We chose gold rimmed chargers paired with the antique china from Peterson Party Center. The antique china has both rose quart and serenity in the pattern. Similar blooms were used the table arrangement as the bouquet. I used white amaryllis and flocked white pinecones in the table centerpiece to continue the winter wedding tones throughout.
