The only thing better than a wedding day, is an entire wedding weekend to celebrate with the ones you love most. Starting with an intimate ceremony + fiesta-style dinner and ending with a post-wedding bash for everyone to party, this couple couple opted for the best of both worlds with a festivities that carried all weekend long. Of course, the incredible Stefanie Miles Events and Bows + Arrows made certain every moment was styled to a T, and Sarah Kate caught it all on camera. From Stefanie Miles Events…Rae and Kurt’s aesthetic was very clean, minimal, and modern yet Rae loved lush and overgrown floral full of unique blooms and textures.

We designed a very personal weekend of events for this special couple, beginning with an intimate wedding ceremony and tasting dinner at home with Chef Graham Dodds on Thursday, a rehearsal dinner full of relaxed fun on Friday, and a reception for all their friends and family on Saturday evening. We designed their weekend to reflect their sense of style, and to have a cohesive feel while still defining several distinct events.

The reception was set in the modern garden of The Nasher Sculpture Center, surrounded by greenery and concrete, we chose to accentuate and play up the surrounding color palette while bringing in a touch of martinique chic. Grey natural linens mimicked the concrete walls and architecture while centerpieces consisting of mostly greenery and garlands reinforced the garden atmosphere and brought all the trees and grass together in a cohesive manner. Centerpieces were arranged in modern geometric footed compotes and filled with rare tropical greens, seasonal peony, chocolate cosmos, bleeding heart, andromeda, scabiosa, nigella, and garden roses. Guests were treated to edible cocktails by The Grand Bevy and dinner from Wolfgang Puck. They danced under the starts on a beautiful spring night!
