From the Bride… We have always dreamed of having a southern wedding little did we know the perfect venue would not be far from home. I had searched all over our home state of Georgia looking for the perfect venue and once I stepped foot on the grounds of Oak Hill I knew it was the perfect place. I had heard how beautiful Berry College was but I didn’t know truly how beautiful it was until I saw it first hand. Once I walked into the picturesque gardens full of roses paired with a beautiful Antebellum home I began to imagine my dreams coming true.
Oak Hill at Berry College offered everything we could ever imagine. I started planning our wedding with a classic and romantic vision, which incorporated the gardens surrounding the property. I envisioned the classic colors of burgundy, ivory, blush and navy fitting the fall scenery perfectly. We knew the décor would not be complete without incorporating my family’s silver throughout the reception. We held true to our southern roots with a menu that featured shrimp and grits, chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits. Our wedding planner Holly from the Season Events did a wonderful job bringing our vision to life.
We could not have had a more perfect fall day. The week leading up to the wedding was so peaceful and stress free. We could not have had the wedding we did without all of our amazing vendors. We are so thankful for all of our family and friends that came to celebrate with us. Our wedding day was truly magical and one that we will cherish forever.
