Vintage Chic Charleston Wedding
I have such a love affair with Charleston. And Charleston weddings? Some of the very best. They just know how to combine tradition with sweet southern style in a way that always makes me swoon, and this beauty captured by Dana Cubbage Weddings with florals from Branch Design Studio is the perfect example of why. And you can see just what I'm talking about right here in the VAULT.
From Dana Cubbage Weddings...The Legare Waring House at Charlestowne Landing is just one of those venues that is so quintessentially Charleston and so naturally beautiful. It's no wonder that Lara + Ed fell in love with it's beauty and used it as the inspiration for their wedding design! They wanted to utilize as many areas of the property as possible, so they planned their ceremony beneath the majestic Wedding Tree, cocktail hour on the patio in front of the main house, and an open air reception in the Avenue of Oaks! It was stunning! In an effort to incorporate even more of the property into their photos, we did their First Look, portraits, and bridal party photos in the Wedding Garden... one of my favorite spots at Legare. The lighting was absolutely PERFECT, streaming through the trees + Spanish Moss. That's the kind of stuff that gets me really excited as a photographer! After a beautiful ceremony under one of the most majestic oak trees I've ever seen, Lara + Ed enjoyed a seated dinner with their family + friends before hitting the dance floor. Lauren of ELM Events helped bring Lara's wedding vision to life and their rustic-inspired design featured a mix of family-style long tables and smaller rounds, wooden chairs, lanterns, candles, and plenty of beautiful floral arrangements by Branch Design Studio. Chandeliers hung from the Avenue of Oaks, adding a touch of glam to this beautiful soiree. Beneath the glowing lights and stars, Lara + Ed dined al fresco and danced the night away with their closest family + friends while Charleston Groove Factory rocked the house. It was another beautiful fall evening in Charleston and such an amazing day all around.
