Chic Valentine’s Day Elopement Inspiration

The countdown is officially on to Valentine’s Day, so we’re sprinkling in the  x’s and o’s a wee bit early. And on today’s lovefest agenda? An elopement inspiration shoot photographed by Caroline Tran. Tucked inside The Vault you’ll find each and every detail, including this pretty bloomage by Kelly Oshiro giving us a serious dose of color crush.

From Caroline Tran PhotographyWhat’s more romantic than a Valentine’s Day wedding? Here, we envisioned a chic city elopement, held at the couple’s loft. The fireplace is decorated simply with pillar candles and brass tapers and serves as the backdrop for the ceremony and first dance. Lush red, with hints of gold and gray, serve as the color scheme. The bride wears an elegant ball gown by Carolina Herrera and carries a lush bouquet with red garden roses, strawberry gomphrena and smoke bush.

For the couple’s celebratory dinner, it’s all about fine dining. Seasonal pomegranates are used both in the floral arrangement, in the cornish hens, and in the elegant arugula salad with pomegranate pearls, all by Mr. & Mrs. Creamery. A bar cart serves double duty as champagne and the cake table.

This editorial was part of a upcoming video photography workshop by Caroline Tran and SLR Lounge. You can see a sneak peek of the video right here. Kelly and Caroline along with Joy Proctor will also be speaking at The Art of Styling Workshop, March 23rd, 2016 in Santa Barbara.
