Magical Moroccan Wedding Under the Stars

This is a kick-your-shoes-off kind of wedding. A let-the-beauty-that-surrounds-you-be-your-decor kind of wedding. And these two embraced every palm tree scene that surrounded them. It's the kind of wedding we love seeing from Lifestories Wedding—totally real, authentic and fully embracing the love. See more in THE VAULT.

From The Bride...After 10 years together and a little baby, a wedding was definitely the next step. We talked about it millions of times, and we really wanted it to look like us, on every level: gatherings of friends and family together, taking place in a magical place, warm weather, eating good food and partying. It should be possible in France, but the venues have so many restrictions: no dinner outside, with plastic marquise tent, and budget-wise nothing was really fitting.

My step-brother got an awesome opportunity to split the event in 2, one in Paris mostly family-oriented and slightly large and a much more intimate one, friends-orientated and overseas!

Neither Clovis nor I got any foreign specific background, so everything was possible, we just wanted our friends to come without spending all their savings. We quickly decided that Morocco would be the best place: close from France, amazing architecture and foods, and beautiful weather in Spring!

I eventually found Dar-el-Hossun through a social network, and just loved it at first sight. I was really nervous at the beginning that the owner would not accept to fully make the place private and let us organize a wedding. They have never done it before but after few emails and discussion, they totally embraced our project. Olivier at Dar-El-Hossun quickly drew a schedule and a budget, he’s been amazing all along the process.

A Few months later, I went there with a few friends and checked that everything was on track for the 15th of May! Then we went there a few days before everyone with Clovis and our baby boy Auguste, to fine tune the last details. We felt like home right away same as our guests did, the team is so welcoming, it really felt like you’re in your family house for the summer.

The big day was organized outside of the lodge in a stunning Palm Trees field. A special setting was organized for the wedding: ceremony, cocktail and dinner area in the middle of the nature. The ceremony that Clovis’s Brother hosted just had a few readings by close friends, it was so sweet. Dinner-wise, there was an outside kitchen run by locals, hosted under a berbers tent and the stars, and later on we came back to the lodge for the party. It was perfect.

Seriously everything was perfect, I can’t think of one thing that bothered me, but I guess with the great help of Olivier to put everything together, it was much easier. And I mean the fact that it was over few days, it really gives you time to enjoy your guests and spend time with them, I will cherish all those moments all my life, and I’m so glad we choose Yann from Lifestories Wedding Photography, he’s been fabulous and also he just picture perfectly what was the wedding, he made life memories for us!
