From The Bride... As a wedding coordinator and baker I am surrounded by every style and type of wedding out there. With my own wedding I really wanted it to feel magical and pull my guests into the atmosphere. We went for a backyard greenhouse feel with lots of florals, greenery and soft fabrics. We added dark cranberry, green, plaid, and furs to the golds and light blush color pallet. Since the groom is from Texas. and my family is in the farming and ranching industry, we wanted to include the rustic dessert display and cattle skull adorned with florals.

As a baker I wanted to make my own wedding cake and desserts. It was so fun to be able to actually make something to share with my guests and give it a personal touch. I made a vanilla semi-naked cake which my floral adorned with fresh flowers. I also made a variety of mini desserts that were displayed on an old ladder with shelves that the groom and his mother made, which made my vision come to life. We had so many different family members helping it made the experience so amazing. My sister was the photographer, my mother created the appetizer cheese boards, the groom’s mother built the bar and dessert display and my new sister in law did all the writing on the large chalkboard; it was a team effort!

The entire day was a dream come true, not only because of the beauty, but the love and new family that came along with it. Jordan was the missing piece to my son and my little family. We not only joined together in marriage but completed our family and gained a husband and father. As I walked down the isle and saw my soon to be husband holding my son, and looked into both their eyes I knew my life was changing forever and heart had never been so full. Our wedding day was the perfect beginning to a new journey!

From Daphne Mae... This wedding was really significant for me, because I was not only the photographer, but the bride’s sister and matron of honor. With Natalie (the bride) being an event coordinator and dessert baker/stylist, we’ve loved working together on other weddings and styled shoots in the past, and couldn’t wait for the day we got to completely do what we’ve always dreamed of and work together on her wedding.

The day was perfect in every way. The sun was shining and the breeze was just enough to create movement in the bride’s gorgeous Sarah Seven gown. The bouquets were wild and organic with touches of cranberry and cream. The inside of the clear reception tent was draped with sheer cream fabric, while enormous swagged garlands of seeded eucalyptus created a grand entrance. Seeded eucalyptus chandeliers hung from the ceiling of the tent, and another garland sat atop the long wooden head table. With all of the garlands, greenery covered chandeliers, and urns and vases over flowing with lush greens, whites, cranberries and blushes saturating every table top, the entire reception space was transformed into a greenhouse like environment of organic romance.

Tall tapered candles along with mercury glass votives flickered throughout the evening. Guests enjoyed a truly delicious array of desserts baked by the bride, as well as a gorgeous make cake, also created by the bride from start to finish.

I also loved that all of the maids chose their own dresses. It was an ethereal mix of sparkle and softness. The groomsmen were dapper and perfectly understated in tweed vests and plaid shirts and ties.

The bride was particularly stunning. Not simply in the way she looked, but in the bright joy that shone through her that day. She had a hand in every single detail of this weekend down to the napkins, and her style was so evident throughout every element of the day. She not only got to marry the man of her dreams, but the man who is now the father of her one year old son. It was such a special day to be a part of and to be able to photograph.
