With just a few days left before Santa comes to town, we can’t help but get in the festive spirit. And that’s where #MistletoeMoments comes in. You snap a moment with your special someone, include the hashtag, and you’ve officially got a chance to be featured on our Instagram feed. Need a little photo taking inspiration? Our Blogger Bride Dressed by Jess has you covered.
From Jess… The holidays are jam-packed with family gatherings and cocktail parties. It’s one of the few times a year that we get to reconnect with loved ones, family, friends, and even neighbors. One of the best parts of being engaged in the month of December is sharing family holiday traditions. This is going to be the second year I will spend Christmas Eve with Rob’s family and I’m really looking forward to continuing this tradition. Did I mention his family is Italian and we eat well over five courses? I will most definitely be wearing stretchy pants for days to follow!
What’s even more special about this time of year is creating new traditions. Rob and I decided that each year we are going to add a new holiday tradition to our list. To get us started we took a trip to a local Christmas tree farm to pick-up wreaths, garland, and other fun decorations. We may have had a little bit too much fun roaming the market…and sneaking in a few kisses. We woke up super early to beat the weekend rush and listened to Christmas music on our trip down to the farm. You’d be surprised at how jolly caroling makes you feel even if you can’t sing. I’ll admit, my vocals are a bit out of tune!
The holidays seem to zip by each and every year. I always have good intentions to begin my shopping early and yet I always procrastinate. To make things more manageable I’ve been ordering gifts online so that I don’t need to spend hours at the mall on the weekends. This way I have more free time to cozy up inside and watch Christmas movies. Maybe I’ll even convince Rob to bake cookies with me (that might be a stretch). What new traditions will you start this year?
Wishing you very Happy Holidays! xx Jess
