For this former ballerina turned bride, honoring her love of dance was a must and her shoe selection did just the trick. And from the florals by Colony Bay Florist to the ombre blue bridesmaids in Alfred Angelo, the entire day followed suit with total elegance and style. Take a peek into this Southern beauty photographed by The Happy Bloom in THE VAULT.
From The Happy Bloom… Rebecca and Jimmy are the epitome of class and charm. So often we as people feel like we’re too this or not enough of that. But these guys? Somehow they fall so perfectly in the middle and you just want to sit down with them and ask, “How are you so perfect?!” They’re calm, relaxed, genuine and sweet all at the same time.
It only made sense that their wedding reflected who they are. A chic white and dusty blue wedding at Savannah’s Independent Presbyterian Church was where their day started.
Our favorite moment from the entire day was probably when Rebecca saw her dad…and when her dad saw Rebecca. She was so filled with joy that it brought physical tears to her eyes. We were so so so lucky to have witnessed it.
After the ceremony, the two and all of their guests and loved ones traveled over to Fort Jackson for an incredible sunset! They were also treated to a traditional cannon firing as a symbol of good luck and fortune upon their marriage. To celebrate the final days of summer, the couple opted into a brighter and more Southern color palette for the reception decor, incorporating antique china and the last of the summer florals. They spent the rest of the night dancing underneath the Savannah stars.
