From Rachel Pearlman Photography...Style Blogger Kendall Johnson of Styled Snapshots loves fall, fashion, and her hometown, so naturally an October affair in Philadelphia was a done deal for her wedding to Matthew Kremer. As a well known fashion blogger renowned for her classic and timeless fashion sense, Kendall's overall design goal was to implement the spirit of autumn, while keeping things feminine and blended. After an intimate church ceremony at an historic Philadelphia chapel, Kendall and Matt celebrated at The Ballroom at the Ben -- the very backdrop of the famous dancing scene between Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence of 'Silver Linings Playbook.' How fun!
Kendall's gown was a creme beauty from Stefan Jolie, which was complimented by gray gowns by Donna Morgan, who also collaborated with Kendall on her big day. Synderela, a bespoke wedding down designer based in New York, collaborated with Kendall on the flower girl tutus. Kendall chose gold and glittery Kate Spade for her pumps and clutch, adding pops of sparkle to her chic, classic look.
The NYC-based couple collaborated with a few amazing vendors to bring their vision to life; Minted designed the couples' classic white invitation suite with grey script. Simple gold and creme place-cards and a custom drink menu were perfectly elegant. BHLDN supplied some most amazing decor for the ballroom - table numbers, cocktail votives, champagne flutes, cake knife and server, and an envelope holder. Kendall's idea to paint pumpkins gold was an elegant nod to fall, that kept with the formality of her venue. Chrissy from Market Fresh Florals is a family friend and worked directly with Kendall to bring her vision to life.
Philadelphia is Kendall's hometown, and The Ballroom at the Ben is one of Philadelphia's oldest wedding venues. It was used for the infamous dancing scene between Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in the Academy Award winning film 'Silver Linings Playbook'. St. Peter's Church has an incredible history, and many revolutionary war heroes are buried in its' ceremony. The first service at St. Peter’s Church was held on September 4, 1761, and the church has been in continuous use ever since. After Kendall and Matt made the decision that they would get married at St. Peter's Church (found by happenstance while roaming the City), Kendall's mother revealed that she lived across the street at one point and would look at this church daily, never in a million years dreaming of having a daughter who would then one day get married there.
